Sayaka never would've thought after all these years that she would return to the Fire Nation, the same nation she was not birthed in but the same country as her father when he was disgusted to discover her airbending. Not just that, but to go as far as to hint of taking her life away was all it took for her to flee for her life and never look back. Just the thought of coming back made her skin crawl.
Yet here she was.
But she didn't come out of the sake of feeling homesick. The concept of missing her home country was nonexistent and she had no sign of yearning for the noble status she once held as a child. Why was she here? The Fire Nation gave her a new perspective as she grew older and reflect on her noble life. With how nationalistic and the misery the country spread, she had plans to take it down. However, she'd admit she was at a stump in her planning. The country had no doubt changed over the years and Sayaka needed to find out what changed.
She was in a marketplace in her red and black kimono to fit in and a bamboo hat to further conceal her identity. It may seemed like a foolish idea for her to come back for plenty of reasons. She didn't know the extent of her father spreading information about Sayaka's airbending, whether it was between a few noble families he was acquainted with or spilled his soul to the whole country. In the end, it would be worth it when she got what she wanted.
Sayaka stopped in front of a jewelry stand and began to inspect the materialistic items before her. She had no intentions of buying, but anything for her to blend in with the common crowd.
...Then again, she could always brush up on her thieving skills.
