Nix Night PERSONALITY POSITIVE - Determined - Adaptable - Open Minded - Loyal - Compassionate NEGATIVE - Reckless - Blunt - Bad Loser  - Holds Grudges - Stubborn Appearance Nix has long red hair which is always wild, she can brush it and does but its very rarely and shes happier looking a total mess. She has green eyes which were never common in her home tribe, but there's stories about where those came from which she isn't sure if she believes. She has 2 long scars, one on each forearm which seem to be healed knife wounds but shes very private about them, always hiding them under her purple shirt and tunic whenever possible. There are freckles over her face and she also has a tattoo on her right arm, beginning in a moon and coming down in to mountains and a forest and down in to 7 wolf paw prints. It was custom made for herself and she has yet to tell the meaning to anyone. She is most commonly found in a simple purple shirt, black tunic, basic rope belt she made herself and then black boots and trousers. BIOGRAPHY Nix's story does not begin with her own, it begins with her parents. Her mother was in fact removed from the northern water tribe, she grew up with her mother in law and father in a fire nation colony because her parents died in an attack from the fire nation a long time ago. This meant the girl didnt get the best treatment in the world from those around her, though as she grew older and it became clear the familys water bending abilties did not come through to her, she was a little better treated by her new siblings who had been born by this time. She grew up as many children so and she found herself taking small jobs, mostly cleaning merely to make money to give to her family and it was this way she met the man who would be her daughters father.  He was the son of a noble, she doesnt know who and didnt focus much aside cleaning and being paid but the boy say a girl unlike anyone he had seen before and began to pay her attention. It was small at first, Lila noticing she was being watched or followed and grew to small flowers being left where she had to clean and even to small desserts and food. Of course as she got to know the boy, it became very clear that if they ever wanted anything between one and other, they would have to leave all they had here and go somewhere else. They were barely 19 by the time Jark proposed, stealing money form his father and all but escaping in the night with his wife to be.  The issue is, teenagers tend not to think too far ahead. Their money only lasted so long and having little else to go on, Lila made the choice to return to her grandparents in the Northern water tribe and they traveled the long trip there. It was in this time the woman found she was carrying, and it was shortly before she returned home that this would be their downfall. They were set upon one night, only a few days from home, because it was all but known the firebender would be too busy protecting his pregnant wife to protect the items they had. Add in the dislike for firebenders themselves in the area and suffice to say, Lila arrived in her home tribe alone and distraught. This was made all the worse as she found out in the 15 years she had been away, both her grandparents had passed from old age and she really was alone.  The woman gave birth surrounded by the tribes healers, left her engagement pendent to her newborn little girl with her shock of redhair and her mothers green eyes and Lila walked out in to the frozen tundra. A short life, a hard life, but one that set Nix up for her own. The girl was raised as something of a ward of the state, moved from home to home as she was shunned for her bright red hair and her inability to behave, though considering she was told her own story very early and saw only the unfair side of all of it, good behavior was never really expected.  She was around 9 when she first began to water bend, this of course being something girls were not encouraged to do all that much but considering the shifting in the tribes traditions and the fact it seemed to be the one thing to calm the wild child down, she was all but pushed in to it by those running the orphanage she was in at the time. The ability came naturally to her, even if she did seem to be a little more aggressive with it than most and she seemed to almost "have" to do it most of the day, the girl explaining it was her only connection to her parents and was an extension of herself. It was this issue which saw her all but pushed to join the military having had a series of water bending teachers see her skill, recommend her and comment that it might be a good way to work out the aggression she seemed to have against others, not their own people.  She was never going to, she planned to escape long before she knew she was going to be forced in to fighting in some war she had no stake in, but one very small thing changed most of her behavior almost overnight. She found a small kitten, with tiny stumps sticking out of her head, on the edge of the tribe as the girl made her first escape and she knew she couldn't leave her there, so she scooped her up and headed back to the small home she had and began to focus on looking after her new pet and raising her. It wasnt long before Minx and Nix were the closest beasts in the tribe, it not being uncommon to find the girl riding around the quickly growing Caribou Snow Leopard and it was around a year and a half later the redhead and her new ally finally left the place she had been raised in, but had never really been her home, and began to travel the world. She quickly learned that the combat out in the world was much bigger and more important than she had ever given it credit, and that her own mixed bloodline both confused and angered many people she came across but she had years of training and hard work to fall back on whenever people began to push their luck too much.
