Nix Night

It had been quite the long trip for the traveler as she paused her walking, the Fire islands, or Flame islands as she had been corrected to call them, were a long way from where he trip had begun. As she watched the white hide of her pet disappear over the hill in front of her, nix nodded to the fleeting form of her freind and then turned and looked behind her. This was a place where most people lived by the shore, played in the waters of the beaches and very rarely went in to the mountains or higher places. As she began to walk again, nix could tell this fact. The ground was rougher the higher she climbed and the paths became over grown, though a flick of her wrist and her dagger clearer most of the path and even gave her a small bundle of firewood she was able to carry with her. She paused beside a very old and rundown house, though it was stunning in design, and thought to herself this had to be where some noble would have come when they had the time or the war was not the way it was, but nix didnt like being here. She had come to hopefully learn about her name, she knew it was a noble family and she had been hoping to ask around about the fire nation bloodline but she had found herself unable to do so. Her red hair meant she fit in well enough here and not many asked questions, assuming she was some colony kid just away on holiday, but it still felt weird to be in a place so foreign. Kohi

Kohi was born and raised as a noble and was thrust toward a life that was exorcised of her, it wasn't as if she didn't enjoy her life and work her role and position.
Still Kohi could say she wanted more and hoped to find that.

The young noble woman carried scrolls in a stressed state as she had lots of things to prepare for.

As she hurried on the streets she bumped into a red-haired woman and dropped her scrolls on the ground.

" Oh I'm so sorry."

Nix was rather shocked to see someone else up here in the foothills of the mountains, by all accounts it was a location the locals didn't go to or were up here only for very specific reasons but she had been turning and looking down the long hill and it's winding path back down to the coast so she wasn't totally paying attention when she felt a rather hard force to her back.

She turned and looked to the other woman, noting the items she was carrying and quickly bending down to scoop up a sorties of scrolls she had dropped and now were littering the floor. In fact the redhead had to lunge a little to grab one which began to roll away, the dagger tucked in to her belt flashing in the early morning sun as she did this before she managed to snag the scroll and then slowly stood up and offered the 4 she had grabbed to the other woman. "You alright? Odd place to be up here, I was told no one went up the hills or in to the mountains on this island, it was all beaches and the coast and largely tourists" the redhead said, offering a little conversation as she felt rather awkward all of a sudden now she relaized she was speaking to a stranger.

Kohi was embrasssed as she gathered her scrolls, she had been sent to gathered some important mission by her superiors.

Off course she knew it wasvan od place to be but there was some important business on the island

" Yes I am fine , I was preoccupied and rushing" Kohi explained softly

The black hair girl finished picking up her scroll.

" Yes I know but I had to gathered some information for my superiors so I was going this way. " Kohi explained in a rush

Nix listened to the other girl as she spoke and she watched her carefully, it seemed she was being pretty honest in her words but the redhead had to wonder why someone like this would be sent up here alone to a place others didnt come to. She could be a lot more capable than nix was assuming, though the clumsy moment had colored her view a little bit. "Busy day? she asked to the other womans first words, letting her finished in gathering her other scrolls before speaking again. "Oh, fair enough. Do you need help? I dont want you dropping all those again, i bet someone higher than you would love the excuse to have a go about crumpled paper or dirt marks" the redhead offered, trying to offer a freindly smile and managing to get out something of a weak one. She didnt really want to head down from the mountains and hillside, but if this girl was going to do that again rushing downwards, she felt a little bad to just leave her on her own. Kohi

Kohi was used to getting orders from her superiors, even though she was good at her job she felt he only got it because of her father and therefore made Kohi prove herself worthy of the job.

Kohi took a deep breath for a moment as she caught her breath.

“Yeah a little.”

The black hair young woman smiled a bit at the offer for help. She could use some help as there were a lot of scrolls in her hands, Kohi thought the woman had a point that other nobles did sometimes want to try anything to sabotage people like herself.

“That is so kind, I could do with some help.”

Kihi carefully handed some of her scrolls to the other woman.

“May I ask you a name, I want to know the name of the woman who is kind enough to help me.”

Nix Night

Nix smiled at the other woman as she spoke and she nodded, though she didnt understand the side of life that came with paperwork, the girl knew it tended to be a busy and stressful one from what she had seen of the world. She was used to the simple things, hungry? Go and hunt something, prepare it and skin it and eat. But she knew not everyone worked that way, so when the other girl spoke again, the redhead smiled to her and reached out her hands to take the scrolls she was offered. She shuffled them around in her arms a little so she could hold on to them and yet still had her hands and fingers free, though that was merely her wanting to be sure that if something happened she could reach for her dagger or water skin, but she noticed then she had been spoken to. !oh, right. " she said before she paused, this was afire nation woman. If nix handed out her name then for once, it might actually be known. Did she want that? She took a few moments to think before she spoke again, "Night, Vata Night. And you are?" she lied, though only partly, before she fired off her own question. Kohi

Kohi was glad for the help from the other woman so knowing her name would be nice.
Kohi learnt that the other woman's name was Vata Night.

" Interesting name, where does orginatate?"

She was intrigued to find out, as it wasn't a name she heard before.

" I am Kohi, nice to meet you."
